Degree in Medicine and Surgery on 13.07.72 at the University of Catania with top marks (110/110), cum laude and the right to print (thesis published in Boll. Soc. lt. Cardiol voi XVIII, 1222-1230, 1973) and the Proposal for the 'Lepetit' graduation prizespecialised in Diseases of the Cardiovascular System at the same university on 24.11. 75 with top marks (50/50), cum laude and honours.
Graduation to February 1973 Volunteer Assistant in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit of the Institute of Medical Semeiotics at the University of Catania directed by Prof. G.M. Rasario.
From 08.03.73 to 31.12.73 General Medicine Assistant and from 01.01.74 to 14.0674 of Cardiology at the hospital in Chioggia (VE)
From 15.06. 7 4 to 20.01. 75 Assistant cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology with UCIC of Cittadella Hospital (PD).
From 21.01.75 to 25.04.76 he did his military service as Medical Officer.
From 01.05.76 assistant at the Monfalcone Hospital before Cardioangiology (until 31.12.77) then by First Aid (until 31.08.79) and again by Cardioangiology (until 30.10.1979).
He achieved national eligibility for Cardiology Aide in the 1978 session.
Since 01.11.79 Cardiology Aide in the Cardiology Division with UCIC of the Hospital of Gorizia.
From October 1988 to June 19991 he also worked as Outpatient Specialist Physician contracted in-house in the branch of Cardiology for 9 hours per week.
From 1991 to 1993 he was Consultant Cardiologist e Head of Cardiology Laboratory non-invasive of the San Giovanni di Dio Hospital of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital Order in Gorizia.
From 1993 to 1996 he was holder of the Coronary Intensive Care and Cardiac Electrostimulation Unit of the Cardiology Department of the Hospital of Gorizia.
He served as Head of the O.U. of Cardiology of the Gorizia Hospital for one year, from January 97 to January 98.
Since 1998 holder of the Electrophysiology and Cardiostimulation Module of the O.U. of Cardiology of the Presidio Ospedaliero di Gorizia. He has numerous scientific publications to his credit.
It was CRI Health Coordinator Province of Gorizia and in this capacity responsible for first aid courses. Member of the AIAC national commission for the development of BLS-D. In this capacity he organised a BLS-D course in Gorizia in October 2003 for out-of-hospital cardiologists in the region.
2005 to 2015 responsible for an outpatient cardiology and angiology clinic at the Pineta del Cardo Clinic in Aurisina-Duino (TS).
He currently works as consultant cardiologist in several outpatient facilities in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Sicily.
He was repeatedly involved in the activities of the ANMCO Leaming Centre, where he was called upon to give lectures on the technical issues of cardiostimulation and the organisational management of arrhythmology laboratories in 1999 and 2000.
In 1995, he attended the 'Ippocrate' residential management and organisation course for hospital chiefs and assistants at the 'L. Bocconi' University School of Business Management in Milan.
Collaborated with the FVG Regional Agency in the preparation of specifications for the evaluation and purchase of pacemakers and defibrillators
It was "Special Resident' in echocardiography for four months at the Children Hospital of Buffalo (University of New York - USA) and at the Strong Memoria! Hospital of the University of Rochester (NY) in 1982 and in Boston for one month in 1988 at the New England Medicai Center of Tufi University.
In 1997, he spent a period of further training in Germany in electrophysiology and cardiac electrostimulation, with a focus on implantation and follow-up of implantable defibrillators, at Guidant's European Research Centre (certification attached).
He was a member of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) from 1982 to 1990; since 1990, he has been associated with the Italian Group for Functional Evaluation and Rehabilitation of the Heart Patient (G.I.V.F.R.C.)
He was elected to the Regional Council of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists (ANMCO) for two terms in 1992, 93, 94, 95, organising a regional conference in Gorizia on 'The Problems of Urgent Emergency in Cardiology' in 1993 and on 'The Cost-Benefit Ratio in Cardiological Care in Palmanova in 1994'.
He was the regional delegate for FVG of the Italian Cardiostimulation Association (AIC), organising in that capacity a national symposium on 'New Orientations in Arrhythmology' in Gorizia in May 1997
From 1998 to 2002, he was national councillor of the Italian Association of Arrhythmology and Cardiostimulation (AIAC). During this period, he was a member of the scientific committee of the 2000 AIAC national congress in Catania and the 2002 congress in Bologna. He also collaborated in the organisation of the 1999 and 2001 editions of the Rimini Update Course for Cardiology Nurses and Technicians.
Former regional secretary of the National Association of Outpatient Cardiologists (ANCE) in this role, he organised a Workshop on 'Treatment of Systolic Arterial Hypertension' in Gorizia in May 2003, and a Symposium on 'Primary and Secondary Prevention in the Elderly Patient: Treatment of Hypercholesterolaemia' in Udine in November.
In February 2004, he introduced a refresher course organised for ANCE cardiologists and held in Trieste on 'Preventing and Treating Heart Failure in the Elderly'.
