1981-1986 Specialisation in General Surgery (University of Catania)

1987-1992 Specialisation in Urology (University of Trieste)

1998-1999 Master's degree in Coloproctology (University of Padua)

He served from 1990 as an Assistant and from 1993 to 1999 as Assistant Hospital Manager at the General Surgery Division of the Gorizia Hospital.

From 1999 to 2018, he worked as a Level I medical director at SOC General Surgery of the 'Santa Maria Della Misericordia' University Hospital (Udine).

He has performed about 4000 operations as first operator, of which 1800 were colo-proctological.

He is a member of ACOI (Association of Italian Hospital Surgeons).

He is a member of SICCR (Italian Society of ColoRectal Surgery) and has held the role of regional coordinator, organising scientific meetings and conferences of national importance, thus contributing to the hospital's scientific teaching enrichment.

He is a member of the Italian Society of Coloproctology (SIUCP).

He has participated in more than 100 congresses, workshops and seminars on colo-proctological and surgical pathologies over the years.
